I just found your article when I asked why I don't understand why my boss of 17 years has all of a sudden started capitalizing numerous random words when he writes. They make no sense, are totally irrelevant and I wasn't sure if it was a sign of early on-set Alzheimer's or not. It's so aggravating and makes me want to scream and every time I correct his writing, he just puts it back as before.

I was glad to find that it irks someone besides myself. haha

Aloha Dustin, I found your God Gene article interesting. I got more from your writings on it than from Hamer's writings. I have an aversion to religion, and I have made many attempts to be a "believer," yet always come back to there is no god(dess). Since hearing about the God Gene I have been trying to figure out if there is some way to be tested for it and if anyone is doing research on it. I think I would make a good research subject. I appreciated your cultural anthropological approach to the subject. I have often said, if I went back to school for an MA, it would be in cultural anthropology, but I do not know if I can turn off my biases. On another note, Indianism, why do so many North American Indians and Hawaiian Natives trash their environment, from a Euro-American perspective, they trash it? Malama Pono, Kaitini

Burlesque seems wicked awesome but I am curious as to how much fun there is.

I like your writing and have my own blog. I think it is awesome to look at other people's writings and or blogs.
It makes for an interesting adventure and adds color to the day.

Those photos that I witnessed were vibrant!
Awesome!
I also love your title that you are a free lance thinker. I am a journalism major and think of myself as a flexible writer, jaded, critical and just plain zany.

Excellent. It simultaneously makes me happy that a male writer gets it so well, and sad to be reminded so clearly what I've known all my life. I have lived your story. I'm powerless to stop the story being passed on to my teenage daughter, even as I try to pass on different message. Thank you. I deeply appreciate a man writing this.

I am in total agreement with Anonymous above. These tests are lot of hogwash and only serve to confuse the issue. Reminds me of the cowboy who asked the girl sitting next to her in a bar that what did she do. She said that she was a lesbian. The poor boy was knocked out at this new word and asked her what it really meant. "Oh, It means I like girls." Next day a tourist asked the cowboy what was he? And he replied that he was a cowboy till a day before but now he was a lesbian.:-)

Hi, I found this quite quirky and interesting. Good for you promoting the plus size girls. They are quite discriminated against in our society - such a shame.
thanks
